Made in France, the pieces are fired at very high temperatures producing an exceptional quality glass that is crystal clear sturdy and durable. A pressure seam is sometimes visible, which is the mark left by opening the mold in which the glass is pressed. It is a characteristic of traditional pressed machine glass.

These French pressed glass goblets are elegant and sturdy enough for everyday use. The pressed pattern is two sided: a flower- embellished heart on one side, flowers and vines on the other. The side seams are unobtrusive, and part of the charm of this type of glass. The goblet is large enough to hold a generous pour. They go through the dishwasher well. The set of six glasses are packed in LaRochere boxes with cardboard dividers. That box was shipped in a larger well-cushioned crate. One of my goblets arrived with a crack in it. We really like this set. In fact, after buying it, we purchased two more of the exact same set. Another reviewer talked about the cereal bowls being too small, but actually we think they are a perfect portion size, and they fit just right in our dishwasher!
