I wanted a wide seated chair with a firm cushion as I spend a lot of time in it, I did want some sort of back support as I like to sit up straight. I understand what people are saying when they say there is 'no support'. I have to sit all the way back (I'm 5'4") to receive the back support. I bought a footrest and it seems to be helping with how close I have to sit to the desk to work (also changed out the wheels). This is a spacious chair! If you need the room, this is a great choice. The chairs seem sturdy and well made. The fabric is a nice neutral color. I wish the back was more straight up and that there was a bit more padding but they are fairly comfortable.
