This loft bed was exactly what we were looking for. My husband put it together in 3 hours; pretty simple instructions. One thing I wanted to note!: This bed can be built with the stairs on EITHER SIDE. We were so confused looking at the photos trying to figure out which side the stairs were on, but it comes with two sets of instructions, one for each side, so that worked out perfectly. We added some support to the wall because it does shake a bit if you're up on the bed. You do need to get a 6 inch mattress or else the safety bars won't reach above the mattress. It serves our purpose for two teens in one bedroom. It did take 4 hours to put together (two people and husband is a contractor). If you have 8ft ceilings it is a tight fit for a teenager.
