This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. So I took this sofa out of the package just yesterday so not sure if there will be any more expansion or if it’s fully expanded. It’s very soft and comfortable. Online the sofa seems much larger than what was received, and I should have paid more attention to the wording "no assembly required". I just thought it came with minimal parts, and was easy for me to put together... silly me. This sofa is made of pocket springs and heavy foam, and once you let it come to full capacity after 72 hours, I have to say it's pretty comfy! I feel like this sofa bed is good for dorm rooms, or added bedding in playrooms, and not particularly for a main living room. With that said, I have a dog and two year old and know that the couch will be used to it's fullest extent. I like the sturdiness, the deep cushions, and I've added accent pillows to give it a little more height in the back (our is placed up against a half wall, and looked little).
