This was a great choice for replacing an old interior french door. The simple shaker design looks clean and modern without being too decorative, and it made the room feel noticeably more updated once installed. Even though it’s a hollow-core door, it actually feels heavier and sturdier than the old door we replaced. It still has the advantage of being easier to handle than a solid-core door, but it doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap. Once installed, it feels solid enough for everyday use and closes with a much more substantial feel than our previous door. The door arrived already assembled, so there was no panel assembly or complicated setup required. The primed surface was smooth and gave us a good base for painting, and the finished result looks much more expensive than I expected for the price. I also liked that the handle hole and hinge locations were not pre-cut. Since we were replacing an older door, being able to position everything exactly where our existing frame required made installation much easier. Overall, the size was accurate, the quality was better than expected, and the single-panel shaker style works really well with the rest of our home. For a pantry, closet, laundry room, or other interior space, this is a really nice upgrade. I would definitely buy another one for future remodeling projects.. Anonymous. Wed Oct 14 2026

SMARTSTANDARD is committed to providing high-quality, customized, and durable Slab Doors to satisfy your home decoration and security needs.

First, these doors are nice and solid. A little on the heavy side, so I am glad I wasnt installing these on my own. They are primed to a gloss so have to be sanded before painting, which is a little annoying, but it is what it is. They are not pre-hung, so you will not get any frame panels with them and as a result, the hinges dont sit recessed. When I read no hardware, I understood no hinges, handles, etc. which I was fine with as I had my own, but no frames would have been an issue if I didnt have the ones from the doors that didnt show up from the previous order that was cancelled (different vendor). They were delivered super quick which I appreciated and packed well. They did have some cosmetic issues that were from the factory (not FedEx), but not enough for me to go through the hassle to send them back. It was like each door had at least one nick in it! Overall, I like the doors (once installed) and the vendor was great to order from.. Jennifer. Brooklyn, NY. Wed May 06 2026

These look great, but my Contractor said they were a pain to install. I bought two sets for two different rooms. One set was perfectly fine. The second set of doors arrived boat. The level confirmed that the door frame was plumb, but these doors were not cut straight at the factory. One can’t tell when they’re open, but when the doors are closed, you see it in the gap in the middle. Other than that, they look good and have elevated the space.. Anonymous. Sun Aug 09 2026

The folding door design opens neatly to the side to save floor space, making it a smart alternative to traditional swing doors. Built with sturdy stiles and rails for added stability, this bifold door delivers reliable performance and a clean, modern look for closets, pantries, laundry rooms, storage areas, or room divider applications.

We turned them into bifold doors for closets. I would say they turned out pretty well considering we were going to use them as French doors on the closets. The only thing is the hardware had to be added pretty low on the door. Works well for a kids closet door based on where we had to put the door knob. Still look beautiful!. Kerrin. Ny, NY. SPECIFICATIONS & COMPONENT OPTIONS Package Includes: Door panels, silver ball catches, hinges, and door handles. (No frame included.) Tool Preparation: A router and a nail gun will need to be prepared by yourself for frame adjustment and perimeter anchoring. Our collection features a versatile range of core constructions and surface finishes - Solid Core MDF, Hollow Core, Molded Panels, Solid Pine, as well as Clear, Frosted, and Mirrored Glass inserts Supported Applications: Pantry, Laundry Room, Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen, Living Room, Dining Room, Home Office, Nursery, Closet, Hallway, Mudroom, Basement Please Note: Existing Opening Check – Please measure your current door opening carefully to ensure your existing frame depth and width fit standard slab dimensions. To ensure maximum freight protection and prevent transit damage, this set ships in multiple packages with a fully pre-assembled door slab. Simple assembly is required to attach the included hardware and components. All components arrive unbored, giving you full control over handle height and installation preferences. Q: Can this door be trimmed to fit my existing opening? A: Yes. The solid core construction allows up to 0.5 inches of trimming per edge (top, bottom, left, right) to fit unique rough openings seamlessly. Please note that hollow core doors are not recommended for trimming, as cutting may compromise their structural integrity. Q: Why choose a slab replacement kit instead of an interior door with frame? A: If your current frame is square and in good condition, replacing just the slabs and hardware saves significant time, avoids drywall repairs, and lowers overall project costs. Q: Why choose this system over rigid prehung door freight units? A: Traditional large double-door frames easily twist or break during freight. Our 3-package modular system guarantees pristine arrival and allows fully customized hardware and key lock positioning. Q: Can I paint or stain the door to match my existing décor? A: Yes! Both the white primed door panels and the natural pine wood door panels are fully paintable and stainable. The smooth, factory-primed surface (on white doors) and the natural wood grain (on pine doors) are ready to accept paint or stain, allowing you to achieve any color or finish that complements your interior design. Q: What is the return process for this door slab? A: Please keep the original packaging and repack the door in its original condition to ensure a smooth return process.
