The base station is powered by a 5V 1.2A power supply, which the outdoor sensor requires 3 microcells (AA, recommend using Li-ion batteries). The base station can also be operated alternatively with 3 microcells (AAA, alkaline or Li-ion). Since previous settings will be reset when plugged out, we recommend installing the batteries for the base station. The batteries then serve as a backup e.g. in case of power outages or similar. (Please note: no AAA batteries can be charged with the device.)

Great way to keep up with the weather. I purchased the Wireless Wifi Professional Weather Station with Remote Monitoring by La Crosse Technology. It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition. I love the large lighted digital screen. It is easy to read at just a glance. In one look you can see up to date weather information including the current temperature and humidity both indoors and outside, along with a feels like temperature for outdoor. You can see current wind speed as well as top wind speed in the past hour and 24 hours, and the barometric pressure in your area too. The display also includes the Day of the week, Time, and Month Day and Year. High/Low temperatures are also displayed above the cute graphic of the days weather. I did add a rain guage sensor which was super simple to connect. As far as the price…Wayfair had the best price I have seen. It’s a Great price for this item. I definitely would recommend the Lacrosse weather station. My only issue is with connecting it to the internet. I have not been able to get it to connect. This traditional weather station is both a work of art and an instrument at home in any fine study, library, office, or upscale restaurant. The rich, wood framed classic weather station measures barometric pressure (liquid). The antique weather station displays an air of quality and accuracy one would expect with a fine, handcrafted weather instrument from Ambient Weather. The concept that 'decreasing atmospheric pressure predicts stormy weather' was postulated by Lucien Video and it's the basis for a weather prediction device called a storm glass or liquid barometer. It consists of a glass container with a sealed body, half-filled with water. A narrow spout connects to the body below the water level and rises above the water level, where it is open to the atmosphere. When the air pressure is lower than it was at the time the body was sealed, the water level in the spout will rise above the water level in the body and when the air pressure is higher, the water level in the spout will drop below the water level in the body. Also includes a comfort meter, which measures temperature and humidity, and a comfort zone indicator.

With big brands out there competing for who can keep things the coldest, I have to say Im actually impressed by how well it worked. Its also a Gods send on my back! The little features like side shelves, internal shelves for making drinks, bottle opener etc are fantastic! I also really loved the ability to split the cooler in half with a divider panel. It allowed me to organize which drinks were kid friendly and which were not. The design is modern and it was very easy to assemble. My only critique is everyone who approached this initially was confused on how to open it (center front there are two indentations near the middle for your fingers to lift the top covers) and kept ripping the front bar off.
