This lamp exceeded my expectations as soon as I opened the box! Right away, I noticed the shade was oval instead of the typical round. I did not notice that when I was making the purchase. The body of the lamp looks like real wood and metal, even though if you touch it, you can then tell it is not real. But it is very nice looking and even has a cute little finial that I didn’t notice was part of the purchase. The shade is a nice medium linen color and the body of the lamp I would say would be a medium colored brown. These arrived in great shape. They were pretty easy to put together. I think it only took 15 minutes for both. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is we couldn’t get one of switches to line up so the switch faces the back of the lamp. No matter how we tried to thread it the switch wouldn’t line up.
