Very pleased with this bed! After purchasing another wooden loft bed also from Wayfair that not only came with a few damaged pieces, but missing pieces as well my husband and I were hesitant about this bed, but were surprised. This bed came on time with all pieces, no damage and was packaged a hundred times better. Instructions were pretty straightforward and bed is extremely sturdy which was our main concern. Our four year old climbs up and down the ladder with ease. Material bins are also well made and strip lights add a cool touch. This is a nice, stable loft bed that holds up to a full size mattress. It provides an awesome setup for smaller rooms with the desk attached under the bed and the wardrobe on the side to store toys or clothing. The staircase going up to the bed is wonderful and provides more safety than a traditional ladder type bed. The lights are a fun addition to the bed providing a nice glow around the bed. The only complaint I think we had when putting together is the screws labeled D were too short for some of the parts they instructed us to use them for so we used the longer one of the same size (Screw A) and it worked out. The frame itself seems relatively sturdy and will do the job for my 6 and 8 year old great grandchildren I believe. It was just put together today and I can't speak to how well it will hold up to children's use or the overall sturdiness and length of use. What I was not happy with was being uninformed about a couple of things. I contracted for the "assembly service". I was unaware that delivery of the bed was not allowed to be brought indoors. I am older and can't lift these packages so it was quite a problem getting them in and then into the room. I expected a delivery to be brought into the room the beds were going into. Also, I did not expect that not only would the delivery be separate from assembly but that assembly did not include the movement. Wayfair told me to move the boxes into the room, open and inspect myself. I would have hired a more full service if that was the case. However, the person who did the assembly was great - did a very thorough job, personable, willing to help, professional and prompt. Ashely was awesome. After using almost 2 months, I must say the screws keep falling out. Also, I noticed it says I received something for my review but I don't know what that was supposed to be. It took me 3-4 hour to fully complete, mostly because there are a lot of parts and the diagrams can take a little getting used to at first. One of the screws pictured in the instructions didn’t exactly match what came in the hardware bag, but thankfully the numbering system was accurate enough that I was still able to figure everything out without much trouble. My biggest recommendation is to organize all the pieces by their letter labels before starting. That alone will save a lot of time and frustration later. I’d also highly recommend using a drill with an Allen bit because doing everything by hand would take forever. Once I got into the rhythm of it though, the installation process became much smoother. What really stood out to me after it was finished was how sturdy and durable it feels. It does not feel flimsy or cheap once fully assembled. The materials feel solid, the design is unique, and it has a really nice look to it that stands out without being overly flashy. It’s compact enough that it doesn’t overwhelm the room, but it still offers a surprising amount of storage space. We’ve been using it for organizing toys, smaller household items, and general clutter, and it works great for keeping things looking neat and organized For the price, I honestly think it’s a good value considering the size, storage capacity, and how solid it feels once built. Significant damage from delivery or warehouse storage. Main support leg cracked in two places. Matress support slats covered in sticky smelly substance. Too heavy to return. Replacement parts delayed by three months. Wayfair offered us a full refund but we really needed a bed for my daughter because we were counting on this. So we attempted to fix everything. My husband covered the slats in kills and then a layer of Low VOC paint to cover staining and seal it all in. He reinforced the support leg in both areas. We put it together and then the cheap particle board drawers started crumbling once we tightened the screws in. It’s also very wobbly and creaks a lot with my 5 YO In it.
