It has a noticeable, slight white wash to it giving it a weathered and polished look at the same time, very well done! It has a solid heavy appearance, and yet not too heavy to both lift and hang. We hung it on the horizontal (all hanging pieces attached both horizontally and vertically) and other hardware needed to hang with instructions are packed with the mirror.
