This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. Great futon! Shorter (on the back) than I expected but overall it serves its purpose. We bought this for our 10 year old who needed a little sitting area in his room to watch tv or play video games while friends are over. Cool that it converts to an extra bed as well. My 16 year old was able to put this together by himself. However, the instructions were vague and there are 20 screws that came with it but no clear instructions on where they go. He says it is comfortable. He is y3 and he says that it is a close fit to his height, meaning he cannot lay flat on it like we thought he would be able to. But he still likes it.. Candice. 5 stars for the value for what it is. A great kids couch that can host a gaming get together if needed. 3 stars for comfort if I was to actually use it every day. This is the 3 seat version. I am 510 and I can lay almost completely between the armrests. My head is propped up just a smidge. It took a full 48 hours for all parts of it to be fully fluffed, and its a little on the stiff side, but Id still use it (this is going to be the kids couch). I dont think Id use it for the adults couch because I feel like Im going to slide off the front of it.
