The desk looks lovely, but it is cheaply made. It requires 2 people to put together. Any wrong tilt or movement when attaching pieces together causes the finish to crack. Once we unboxed, we knew cracking would be a risk and laid pieces on soft flooring and took our time and still have several cracks. You have to be very careful. It takes HOURS to put together - very tedious. While we know that's the way of the world today, we expected it to be more durable. For the cost, quality and hassle, I would not purchase it again.. Overall we were very happy with this purchase. The only issue we had is that the side spindles were somehow loose in the packaging with other parts and there were several scratches/chips on them.
