A great modern update for my bedroom that I remodeled to replace the old early 2000s model I had. It’s much more quiet and glides through the air. I keep it set to 6 which is the highest speed. It’s was about 40 minutes to get it assembled and installed. The instruction video made things super easy, but the printed instructions were good too. My only issue is that it does not have memory. So if power gets switched off, it will not save your last setting (including blade direction) and you must use the remote to power it on. UPDATE Fan is now installed on the ceiling. Looks very nice, but power is not yet hooked up to it so I have not yet been able to run it or turn the light on. The fan appears well made fan blades are actual real, solid wood and are very nice quality - no painted fake finish here. The surround that covers the motor is metal and nicely made. It fits flush against the ceiling. The fan also comes with a remote that controls both the fan and the LED light and you can change the color tone and brightness of the light. So I am looking forward to getting this light installed and will update my review then with new pictures and feedback on the fan operation. I think it’s going to look beautiful in my bedroom!. The base of the unit is made of sturdy materials. However, the pieces that handle the most movement seem the be made of the plastics you’d find in the toy bin at the bargain store when you’re running late for a child’s birthday party. The remote looks very nice but feels cheaply fragile and awkward in your hand. The blades are plastic and very light and feel almost flimsy. The lights make up for all the flaws.
