I’m giving this four stars. That’s due to the poor documentation that comes to the lamp. It was only after I went back and looked at the reviews that I realized you have to leave the lamp plugged in for an hour or so. Also having extra batteries on hand is helpful. Simple design and easy to assemble. I expected the stem to be smaller in overall width, but it’s a bit bulkier than I thought. The light is warm, but quite minimal—it dims, though it’s not very strong or widely dispersed. There’s a lens cover that softens the light nicely. I chose it to keep my desk surface clean, and it works well as a dedicated task light. I still use other ambient lighting in the room.
