DO NOT BUY!!!!! I am extremely disappointed with this daybed. It was professionally assembled on August 27, and the odor is absolutely horrific. Even after airing out the room with the windows open for more than 24 hours, the smell remains overwhelming and is permeating beneath the closed door into my hallway and other rooms. The room is currently unusable. As a long-standing Wayfair customer, I have never experienced anything like this. Returning it would also be a tremendous hassle because I paid for professional assembly and would now need it disassembled and package item. I truly regret this purchase. When I reached out they (AI assistant) simply said it was too long so nothing could be done. Unless you are looking for the bluegreen color palette I would NOT recommend this. I was a bit hesitant to buy this daybed because there were no reviews to read. However, after looking at many other daybeds, this was the only one that had the smallest measurements. My small room couldn’t accomodate a larger size bed so I took a chance. It turned out to be sturdy and attractive. I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the piece. It is quite heavy as I am sure other daybeds are as well. It came delivered in two boxes, one long one that contained the back and front pieces and the other shorter box had the sides and the slats. Delivery was great. My husband and I unpackaged everything in the garage and brought pieces in separately. It was more manageable that way instead of trying to lift extremely heavy boxes into a small house and room. It definitely takes two people to put it together since the pieces are cumbersome but we did it in a few hours. I bought an 8 inch twin mattress for the trundle and a 10 inch twin mattress for the top. They fit perfectly and the trundle slides underneath with no problem. It is on wheels which makes it very easy. A bag of washers and a bag of screws were missing from the package of hardware for the trundle but we were able to match the missing pieces with our own hardware. The slats for the trundle were much easier to put on as the holes were predrilled for the two end slats and the middle slat. The slats for the upper bed was a bit harder as there were no predrilled holes but we were able to estimate the spacing between them. It helps that all the slats are attached together with a ribbon and you just lay them onto the frame all around the bed and then screw them on. My first delivery of this daybed it arrived damaged so it was returned. The replacement arrived with box #1 one day and box #2 on another. That was fine, what didn't work was that I had requested someone to assemble it and it was two weeks out. We did it ourselves and now waiting to see if Wayfair will credit my assembly fee.
