Daughter loves her bed! It seems pretty sturdy. The negatives for me are the side opposite of the desk is unfinished, it just has black backing on the side so it limits where the bed can be placed from an aesthetic perspective it basically has to be in a corner if you don’t want to see the black backing side. We recently updated my mother's bedroom, and one of the biggest changes was purchasing this Twin over Full bunk bed that she had been wanting. Overall, we are very pleased with it. The bed is solid and sturdy for the price, and the color looks great in the room. Assembly wasn't particularly difficult, but there are a lot of pieces, so I recommend giving yourself plenty of space to organize everything before you start. We also added a few extra slats for additional mattress support, which worked out well. For the lower full-size bunk, we purchased the 9" Plush Cooling Gel Hybrid Mattress by Zinus, and it's been comfortable for her to sleep on. This is a beautiful bed! Well made, except for one manufacturing defect. One of the holes for the headboard to connect to the leg post was not drilled. We really like this bed! It seems pretty sturdy. It took us about a 2 hours to put it together. I was really impressed with the fabric provided for the canopy—it has a nice weight to it drapes beautifully. The slats on the bed are supportive enough to hold a mattress without a box spring or board. The bed is made of real wood that has been painted, so there are superficial imperfections here and there. However, we are happy with how the bed looks despite these small flaws. My three year old daughter helped pick out this bed for herself, and she was so excited to see it put together.
