I ordered the slate gray and they are definitely not gray if you're really looking for that color. They are a nice color of pale blue (see photos) and the sheets are soft and appear to be good quality. They had a strong odor upon opening the box but once washed they are fine. I have a 16in mattress and many fitted sheets do not fit well, but this set fits like it was made for it with room to spare.
