You really cannot tell how it would fit without seeing it in person; honestly, it would be helpful if Wayfair put the both sized stools up to the counter in a photo. For now, you have me telling you, that if you are buying this for the Dodge Kitchen Island, and especially if you are putting the wheels on that island which puts the counter at 38" high, consider buying the 30" inch stools, Ok? The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! You will love them too! If you do buy the 24" inch stools, know that they will be easier for your kids to climb into. If I could give this negative stars I would. Not enough of the screws to assemble. The table is covered in over a dozen clusters of hammer or screw dings. The chair legs aren't the same length. The actual parts aren't made to fit the way they're supposed to on the table. When you contact them, they send you a YouTube video because the instructions in the box are wrong. When you tell them it's not the instructions, the pieces of the table are not right (example, attach a to b, but b Is about 4 inches too long and it goes sideways and there's not even holes like the picture shows to screw in). It is not real wood, so I would be careful with the surface—I wouldn’t place hot pans directly on it or set drinks down without a coaster. This ended up being perfect for the space and a good deal for the price. Comes in two heavy boxes, but I had a hand truck to move them from the sidewalk to the kitchen, so I could by manage myself. I also put it together by myself, and it took a hot minute (multiple hours....hard to measure because I took mental breaks), but it wasn't hard. The pieces were all there, it wasn't confusing, just predictably tedious. Worth every second to gain the extra drawers and cabinet space. If i had a complaint, it's the the backside looks like exactly what it is (just the cheap panel), but it's no different than pictured plus it's where the barstools go anyway if you're worried about it. Phenomenal! I've had it for about 2 months. My only very minor complaint is that crumbs get caught in the grooves on the top. We bought the Diamondback Solid Wood 24" Counter Stool in Mahogany and we LOVE them! I do wish I had bought the 30" inch stools, but hind sight is 20/20, isn't it? You really cannot tell how it would fit without seeing it in person; honestly, it would be helpful if Wayfair put the both sized stools up to the counter in a photo. For now, you have me telling you, that if you are buying this for the Dodge Kitchen Island, and especially if you are putting the wheels on that island which puts the counter at 38" high, consider buying the 30" inch stools, Ok? The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! You will love them too! If you do buy the 24" inch stools, know that they will be easier for your kids to climb into.
