For now, you have me telling you, that if you are buying this for the Dodge Kitchen Island, and especially if you are putting the wheels on that island which puts the counter at 38" high, consider buying the 30" inch stools, Ok? The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! You will love them too! If you do buy the 24" inch stools, know that they will be easier for your kids to climb into. I am giving these 4 stars even though I won't be keeping them. These bar stools are beautiful and made with solid craftsmanship! I was so impressed with them from the moment I pulled them out of the box. Unfortunately, they are bigger than my space allows, and I do not like the feel of the curved seat when sliding onto it from the side (I am short, and they hit my legs uncomfortably). They are very comfortable once you are sitting with your legs forward. It has really given me a pang to return them. (Especially since I am losing so much in shipping them back.). Marcia. Delmar, DE.
