This is our second Cicerone wall click, having purchased one a few years ago. We absolutely love the style and look. Sadly, the reason for replacing is because the hands attachment is extremely fragile and does not hold up. Once they slip and lose grip on timer, there is no tightening them no matter how much you tighten the attachment nut. Be very careful when removing clock off wall and replacing battery. Using the plastic hand time adjustment on back seems to hasten the loosening and hence making hands fall vertically and stay there. This clock is absolutely gorgeous and is made of top quality. I’ve wanted it for over a year. It came very well packed and took about a week. My first delivery was intact, but the hour hand was loose and not working (you can’t open it or reach in to fix), so as soon as I reported it, Wayfair sent a replacement. It works beautifully! The clock takes 1 AA battery and the gears turn separately with 2 AA batteries. I thought it might lean toward bluessilvers but it actually has discreet red designs on the inside and has more gold. The great part is that it would still match with blues and possibly any color scheme. I put it at my front entry, so it works perfect as a clock and a quick reflection check when leaving, but is also a beautiful statement piece upon entry. Note that it won’t hang with a wire. There are two hanging loops on the back that must each hang directly onto the wall. I only have one side on a stud, but I think it’s doing just fine with gallery hooks I got from the hardware store that support the weight and are supposed to work on drywall.. Sr. US.
