The deck box came securely shipped in its own wooden box. There was no damage to the shipping container and the deck box itself was in great condition. Assembly was a challenge. The instructions are minimal, a single page with no text. It says to buy Gorilla Glue which is not included but there is glue included. It says to glue the joints together before final assembly - I chose not to do this as I was afraid I would do it wrong and be unable to fix it after. Seems very turdy without the glue by the way. I was able to assemble the four sides and the bottom by myself. Adding the bottom was tricky. There are 10 bolts that are used to attach it - 3 of them did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Again, seems plenty sturdy with just seven bolts. You will need another pair of hands to help attach the top to the hinges. The deck box looks great in the end! I dropped a star for the assembly. This is a great spacious storage bench but it has a few minor flaws. It was easy to put together but the instructions come with zero words. The specs say the wood is weather treated but it doesn’t feel like it. Only time will tell. With the waterproof zipper interior attached to the top hatch, it doesn’t close flush. So I removed the top part from the Velcro to have it close properly. The top hatch comes in 2 separate pieces so you can open them separately but if you want it to be all one piece, you’ll have to find a way to glue or clamp that yourself. Sturdy, nice looking and roomy. Warm mid-tone gray color. We use it to store large 6-person dining set cover, citronella candles, tiki torches, torch fuel supply, various cushions from other chairs and seating on our large deck, etc. Also keep 18V leaf blower in it for quick deck blow-offs. Stays dry inside. Assembly isn't difficult, but will take a half hour or so by yourself. It'd be easier and faster with an extra set of hands. Only disappointment so far is that the large front and back panels, which are designed to "fit and click" into the bottom panel, don't seem to stay clicked in very well due to the long span of those panels with little support except at the corners which are supported by the end panels. So the corners stay connected okay, but the centers of the front and back panels bow out a bit because the click-in connection isn't quite strong enough alone. A couple of plastic, deck box color-matched fasteners along the bottom (in the center) on both the front and back panels through to the inside bottom panel would secure things perfectly. The shed arrived packaged in two big bundles and was delivered down two dirt roads to gravel driveway. Great delivery service ! My carpenter neighbor put the building together on piers. However he reinforced the floor with additional two by fours. The building was a good value with the windows. This building is my she-shed for my Mtn getaways. Unable to afford a second house here, my she shed will be my camping getaway site. No close site neighbors. Plenty of storage space on the shelf inside as well. This patio box is nice looking was easy to put together. There is a liner that zippers and keeps everything dry. My boys use it to store sports equipment including hockey sticks and bats gloves and roller blades all stay dry. It fits a lot and doesn’t look cheap. The boys also sit on it and it’s quite sturdy..
