It was a great buy, especially for the price compared to other options. It was easy to put together and there are English instructions! The instructions to attach the armrests and the footrest were missing but it was easy to figure out by looking at the illustrations. Got this for my husbands sunroom office. The fabric is soft and smooth, although it’s a faux leather it feels like a microsuede. The black is a matte mid black/dark grey versus a dark black. Overall I think this chair is fantastic, exactly what I wanted / needed and a massive upgrade from what I had before. The leather feels nice and rich and overall I am happy with the build quality. The slight nitpicks I will mention though are, however, that the leather appears a bit thin when looking at the included square patch, though time will tell. The base where the rollers are attached is not a solid piece of wood but rather a metal frame covered in wood, this is both good and bad in ways. Good in that the cair is more sturdy and I am confident the weld will not fail, bad in that because the wood is laid over and not tightly secured, it can move quite a bit and leads to the piece feeling cheap. There is very little heigh adjustment range for the piston that is included, though they are upfront about this in the product specifications, only about an inch and the seat already sits higher than the average chair in my opinion. In addition some things to note that are neither positives or negatives, the seat and cushions are quite firm, though maybe they relax over time. The chair is also made to the average person, so people who are tall or short may find the chair slightly uncomfortable. Chair is rated to 250 lbs and I'd say that is probably accurate, the seat is not narrow but if you are wider at the hips it may be a struggle to sit properly. The chair arrived as scheduled, was easy to assemble. To be fair I've done probably 50 different chairs due to working in Hotels. The chair looks great and is fairly comfortable. There are a few things to note and consider that are not deficiencies. It is a large chair, and heavy duty. Because of this the lowest height is my standard setting, at this height, the arms will not go under my desk which has a drawer...probably 2" too high. It does not have any lumbar adjustment, no problem, just a note and for those wondering how thick the PU leather is, the answer is not very. If you have cats and they are allowed near this chair, di not expect it to remain nice. I had a claw mark the first day and covered it with a blanket...that helps but does not stop it. Lastly, the foot rest is ok, I don't love the style/design but it's functional. Also. How flat does it lay, it is not flat but it is a decent recline that one could nap in. You can lock it in anyplace on the recline. The controls are a little bit out of reach but ok. I love the style of the arms, but wish they fit under tge desk.. Dan. NC. Wed Mar 18 2026
