Today I got the package for silk lampshade. I have 7 orient lamps all with silk shades. The one I got early 2001 with beige scalloped shade with plastic lining until it turned brown and cracked. I have bought a small silk lampshade at lamp shop before. It was over $100 and now I am retired. I need a new shade so badly and I tried Wayfair and looked carefully with sizes. It’s affordable. Got the shade and touched carefully. The fabric is really silk! So I placed on the lamp. Sides was correct 12 inches. The bottom and top was 1.5 inches short. Absolutely beautiful....it arrived quickly yesterday and when I replaced the ivory shad with this one, it changed the room and uplifted the beauty of the lamp. This shade is quality. In the description, it will say made of silk, but the title says “linen”, but that is referring to only its color. It is linen colored silk. These lampshades are not only beautiful, but nicely made and easy to assemble. I put the 2 shades together in less than five minutes. They are linen and they are back by some heavy paper so they are rigid after you assemble them on the forms. There is a Velcro strip on the seam and small metal clips inside to attach the forms.
