This lampshade was quite nice, but it did arrive with a couple of "dings" in it. They were small ones. Not visible until I cut off all of the wrapping. Since they were not in the front, I decided not to worry about them and to keep the shade. These hard shell drum shades are difficult to transport and not get a "ding." I am not sure I would have gotten one home from a local store in perfect condition, either. The color I chose was Beige. Without the light on, the shade looks more of an ivory color. So if you need an actual beige, keep looking. It does look more beige with the light on, for some reason. The Shantung fabric is quite nice and smooth looking. It is a modern, attractive lamp shade..
