I bought this chair 24 years ago at a fine furniture store. They did their service for multiple generations. Fast forward to now and I was looking for 4 dining chairs for a new home. He assembled them quickly (minor grumbling so I knew all the pieces were there and instructions were adequate). Today we paint and-just like that- my new dining area is close to complete. This is a great chair. I wanted something simple but with arms and it’s perfect. It was easy to put together. The blue is a great color and the finish is flawless. My only advice is - before putting it together - screw the bolts in their matching holes in the arms and legs to clear the holes and then back them out. This will make the assembly easier.. It's a decent chair. Not bad, but not exceptional either. Pro: It looks very nice, and is made of solid wood. Con: The chair, while made of solid wood, creaks ever so slightly when I sit on it. Now, I'm not worried about myself breaking it, as I only weigh 135lbs. But if I was significantly heavier... I wonder how long it would last. Overall: at time of writing, I reviewed the various options, and this was the nicest quality chair on Wayfair in this price range and in the finish that I wanted.
