This is a very small pan, which is exactly what I wanted. My go to pan was Farberware, and it is over 20 years old, horrible condition as it will not even fry an egg without sticking now. We are great cooks in this house and somehow we can still make our old pans work. BUT....This Viking pan is next level amazing. I see why its so expensive. It is heavy like a cast iron pan and I love love love that!! I cooked an egg in it without using any oil. Now I am obsessing and want a whole set. I just have to figure out a way to explain to my husband why we need 600 pots and pans lol. Maybe I can compare my pots and pans to some of those high end tools he has in the garage lol. these pans are absolutely perfect. the quality seems to be very high, they are sturdy and the coating seems safe. they do come unassembled and you have to screw on the handles, but it comes with probably the best screwdriver i have ever had for it. i am very happy with these and can cook pancakes, grilled cheese, etc with no issues of burning or sticking, and cleaning them after is very easy. I ordered the 11" pan in gray and was surprised when the box showed an ivory pan. The correct one was inside though. Attaching the handle was super easy -- just press the button, slide into the side of the pan, and release the button. The handle feels secure and looks like a really pretty woodgrain but is totally metal. Detaching it for storage is just as easy. Most importantly, the non-stick feature works wonderfully -- no cooking spray needed! I made an omelette with veggies and cheese, and it was so nice to not have to deal with food sticking to the pan. Per the instructions, I made sure to use a rubber spatula (and not metal utensils). Washing with a soft sponge and dishwashing liquid was a breeze too. This pan will be my go-to from now on!. Linda.
