Item has been backordered so I just received while on vacation; therefore, I have not had an opportunity to use it yet. Appears to be well constructed, has good weight to it for cooking, and stylish design. I thought it had a lid (had looked at several before buying), but due to size can improvise with a lid from my cookware. As another reviewer mentioned, it did not come with instructions as to whether it requires being seasoned or how to do so. Will update once we actually prepare a meal.. Julie. Crestwood, KY. Both wirecutter and serious eats have raved about this large carbon steel wok—and you’re about to as well. Perhaps you’ll be charmed by how nimble this flat-bottom wok can be, its lightweight carbon steel makes it easy to stir, flip, or shake food to perfection. Or maybe you’ll swoon over how much heat this pan can absorb, searing that perfect char onto veggies and meat without scorching. Either way, your love for this work will grow stronger as it ages because as you season it, its patina will deepen and darken beautifully. Also included in this set are a tidy nonstick steel lid, a handy bamboo wok spatula, and an inspiring recipe booklet for years of yummy meals.

A classic full-size, flat-bottomed wok for stir-frying and sautéing. Aluminized steel combines superb heat conduction with weight and durability, and will never rust. The brushed stainless steel handle provides a secure grip and the helper handle makes it easy to lift, even when sizzling hot.

This wok is exactly what I needed and getting as an “open box” item made it possible for my budget. We eat a lot of stir fried vegetables and I needed a wok that works on an induction range. This heavy duty, very large wok has an extra handle opposite the regular one, making lifting it from the stove easy. Its non-stick surface works well. I believe one could put it into the dishwasher but it is simple to wash since nothing sticks and it’s really too large to fit. So, right product, quality brand, good price equals another Wayfair success story.. Janie. Greenleaf, WI. Fri Jan 30 2026

Staub enameled cast iron cookware is the top choice for chefs and home cooks alike. Rooted in French culinary heritage, Staub's renowned cocottes are timeless pieces, perfect for casual meals or sumptuous suppers. The Essential French Oven with Chistera lid is the latest star in the cast iron collection. Like Staub's signature flat lid, the domed Chistera lid has excellent self-basting properties. Usually, a convex lid causes condensation to fall to the sides. The innovative, Chistera drop-structure lid solves this problem by putting a twist on traditional spikes. Moisture cascades from the whole lid. This continuous basting guarantees delectable roast chicken and braised short ribs. What inspired this original design? Basque pelota players use wicker basket chisteras to scoop up balls and hurl them quickly. Under Staub's new lids, the chistera-shaped curves gather condensation to shower moisture upon the delicious dish that simmers inside.

Let’s be honest, the most undesirable part of the cooking process is the cleanup. With the Black Cube™ Quick Release, this annoyance is a thing of the past, thanks to an award-winning cooking surface aptly named Quick Release: It features a stainless steel pattern of small pixels that are raised above a recessed layer of high-quality PFOA-free nonstick coating, thereby combining the benefits of stainless steel and nonstick in one revolutionary cooking surface. Black Cube™ Quick Release sears, braises, and browns meat exceptionally well, like a stainless steel pan, and it perfectly sautés, fries, or stir-fries seafood and vegetables. Or make a delicious stew knowing that the heat will be consistent. Designed to offer the best in durability and performance, feel free to use metal utensils! Yes, we mean it. The pan feels good in the hand and it is large enough to hold a lot but not too big to be unwieldy. It features an ergonomic stay-cool handle and a helper handle. After you cooked your delicious meal, clean-up is quick and mess-free – just the way you know it from a nonstick pan. Or simply place it in your dishwasher! This innovative pan is safe to use on any stovetop (including induction) and can even be placed in the oven at up to 500° F. Black Cube™ Quick Release is a 3-ply construction of stainless/aluminum/stainless. There is so much versatility with this pan that the possibilities are endless. Don't forget to get the matching-sized lid, which gives even more cooking options. Make cooking delicious meals easier than ever with this exciting cookware innovation.

I used my brother's Black Cube wok and loved the way the food didn't stick, it cooked evenly, and we could use his metal utensils to stir up the ingredients. I had to get one for myself. I wish it came with a lid and maybe it does now but that feature was not available when I ordered mine. Great addition to my culinary collection.. Catherine. Claremont, CA. Thu Feb 22 2018

The design of the Edo series is softened by formal elements such as the light flare of the containers or the line of the handles reminiscent of ribbons pinned to a dress, which becomes a distinctive feature of the entire cookware line. With its unique design, the Edo wok is also ideal for serving food at the table. This wok is in multiply (AISI 430, aluminum, 18/10 stainless steel) with a lid in 18/10 stainless steel. This product may have minor visual imperfections, though this will not affect the product's performance. This may include discoloration, blemishes, or chips that have been enameled over. For centuries, cooks have taken advantage of the natural heat retention and redistribution properties of cast iron. Staub builds on this tradition with our enameled cast iron cookware. Black matte enamel inside and cooking surface creates a culinary advantage for better browning, braising, and roasting. Colorful enamel outside adds flare to your kitchen and table. Safe for use on all types of heat sources, including gas, electric, and induction, and oven safe up to 500F. Chip resistant.
