I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. I'm very happy with my desk. It's the perfect size for the space in my home office. It was shipped with a damaged part. Wayfair shipped the replacement part immediately. The only problem was that instead of shipping just the damage part, I was shipped the entire section. I paid for assembly but they never showed. I was reimbursed for that charge and discounted for the damaged part and the assembly team not showing twice. I did put together myself and like previous customers stated it is very time consuming. It was an 8 1/2 hour job including breaks. The instructions were easy to follow. It took some work to get the drawers aligned but I got it done. If you need a lot of desktop real estate, this is the desk to get. At over 70 inches, I have more than enough room for my dual-monitor setup, laptop, and plenty of space left over to actually write and work. The L-shape layout is incredibly efficient. Overall great desk and great color. Very sturdy and good quality. It’s certainly manufactured wood like most furniture nowadays but good quality. Assembly was straight forward just needed to take some time to do it right the first time. Took myself about 4 hours total for full assembly. Only downside i have so far is the cable hole that n top of desk is desk is about 2”x7”. Fits the infused power strip but i wanted all plugs below the desk. You will need someone who can crawl under the desk to complete assembly. Wayfare only offers the convenience of delivery to the room of choice for this product. They need to add an option for the removal from packaging and setup and assembly too. I would have been willing to pay more for that option had it been available. No assembly required is misleading.. Ordered 2 at once. One arrived from New Jersey (?) in perfect condition, but the second shipped from TX never arrived. Customer service has been perfectly helpful for all FIVE (?) calls. A replacement (from TX) was ordered and arrived not boxed with corner protectors/top and bottom cardboard pieces completely damaged and unusable. A second replacement came (from TX) and arrived in even worse condition (both tops had screws missing and screw holes stripped so won't stay on with screws provided, cracks on all sides, dents, etc.). I asked for a return label so whomever can inspect and see how badly damaged they are coming from TX. Third replacement sent from New Jersey or maybe Virginia- I cannot remember. Arrived in perfect condition like the first did. Customer service could not be better, but I'd call to order this piece with customer service and beg that it comes NOT from Texas. Love the two working ones and recommend 100%... again, if not arriving from Texas! I'm sharing damaged photos of last one sent, but not of two we kept, b/c they fit description perfectly.. Christina.
