Thes design was perfect for a window with extremely limited space for a curtain rod and finials. I looked for a long time to find the right design for full functionality and my aesthetic. I probably could use two sets of curtains on the window but I don’t think the rod would hold the additional weight. My curtains are fine and do cover the window fine but I would prefer to add an additional set for aesthetics only. I still love the design and would buy them again if they only came in this size. I did purchase a rod larger than I needed so that it is not hanging on just a weaker single rod. It has the support of the rod inside the rod that I’m not using. I was absolutely amazed to find this privacy rod for a VERY reasonable price. Had thought of having one made locally but for the cost of this we couldn’t justify making our own. It is surrounding a bird cage to eliminate drafts and also retain body heat on chillier nights (a medium sulfur-created Cockatoo doesn’t generate much heat) and getting rings and thermal curtains to complete this project was so simple ince we had the hanging portion and hardware determined. (There is a high-sided inflatable pool under the cage at it’s base to catch wood toy splinters and food crumbs to keep the area neater - covered in white sheets to protect against harmful UV rays.)
