Remodel contractor here. Overall this is one of the better pans I’ve installed. However it was bowed up about 1/4” in the center along each side rail. Made installation pretty tricky. I gave this so much thought. So happy I spent a few extra bucks and got this. You will need two people to move it. The recommended Kohler drain assembly is also a little more expensive but worth it. Seems to be well made. My project was a remodel. The weight of the pan made for a bit of a struggle. Do to the height, I added an extra 3/4 board to take up some of the space to use less mortar. It came with a 2" drain whichwas a pleasant surprise. I did contact the supplier to get the drain location. See photo. You'll have plenty of time for your rough in waiting for the pan to arrive. Ordered Friday, arrived Monday - VERY fast service. Shower pan was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Design is exactly as we expected and reinforcement on the underside is significantly better than the shower pans from the big box stores that I looked at. Support is very dense so floor should be very solid. I am very happy with this for our new bathroom installation in our basement.
