I absolutely love this solid real wood island! You can't beat the price. Well it is real wood, it is a lighter wood. I did have a few small pieces with some splintering defects because of this, but nothing a little wood glue can't fix. Other than that, I didn't have any issues with assembly like what other reviewers noted. I found assembly to be rather easy. The pieces were all numbered, but a lot of the numbers had fallen off in the box or elsewhere. This wasn't a big deal as the instructions have good pictures and I was able to figure out which pieces correlated with which numbers. The table is perfect for my purposes and was fairly easy to put together with two people. The drawers come preinstalled to the table top, which is nice, but you would think they would be space properly. They’re don’t slide as well as I would like them too.
