This tile is great but the gris gray dye lot we got had a strong blue / purple undertone compared to the original sample piece. Very nice looking glass tiles used for a kitchen backsplash. They’re beveled so you don’t need to grout afterwards. The adhesive is very strong- so strong, once you place them, they won’t budge unless you pry them off which will then cause them to chip. Order extra. A little tricky to cut without a tile saw. These are 6"x2" Bejmat tiles (150x50x13mm). Bejmat are a particular style of rectangular Glazed Zellige tiles, with slabs cut before firing. These thinner bejmat help reduce the weight for wall applications. Produced by hand in Fez, Morocco, these Moroccan mosaic floor tiles are known the world over. Still made with the local clays, and fired in kilns powered by olive pits, these rectangular floor tiles are authentic Zellige (zellij).

I know that Wayfair gets this from some other vendor, likely, but product came damaged; 90% of the tile had a white chalky substance on it and a good 10% to 20% of the tiles were broken. Does have a very high end look to it. Not quite what was expected from photo. If they laid the glass on top of the texture, this would have been one of the most amazing glass tiles ever! Still makes for a great statement piece, backsplash or feature wall. I wish they used an Installed application photo it might have helped to see what the tile actually was. Very rough textured surface that might not be ideal to clean often in a shower, hard to say. But such a good deal, we decided to use as a feature wall above a vanity instead. Has a high end luxury look just maintaining and cleaning was unsure for shower application. Make sure to use new diamond blade, my tile saw with used diamond (glass) blade had a few rough spots on my first wet cut.
