Just put it together today (by myself, mind you!), so I can’t speak to the quality long term, but it’s perfect for what I need right now. Took me an about 2 hours to put together - lining up the heavy top was a little bit of a struggle, but i got it after a few adjustments. It’s heavier duty partial board, but the coating on it seems like it’ll hold up well. I had seen some reviews saying the assembly process was terrible, but that wasn’t my experience at all. I think this has been the biggest furniture project I’ve done because of the number of pieces, but overall the process was smooth and easy to follow. I’m definitely not disappointed with this purchase. My only concern is the back panel of the island since it feels super thin compared to the rest of the structure. This island is a great value for the price. The drawers and doors close softly, and the materials and texture feel high-quality. The quarts has beautiful veining. This island is gorgeous, what a bargain. Almost looks custom built in my kitchen. Very very spacious, beautiful glass doors, ample sitting space to eat or work, and tons of tabletop prep space for serious cooks (main reason why I got it). The work surface is high so just know that when prepping, using the knife. Overall a great piece. PS my husband is really good at putting together furniture and it did take him about 6 hours with a power drill and patience for troubleshooting so just be aware it's not for entry level furniture assemblers..
