I like this and I am small enough fit through the gate, but my elderly father has trouble with it and his caregiver has trouble fitting through it and opening and closing it. My dog is 15 pounds and can’t get out of it, so that is the best part. Perhaps my Dad’s caregiver will figure out how to open and close it. Extension to add 4” of width sold separately. Before installation: At first glance, your gate will have a “V-shaped” gap between the gate door and the mainframe. This is not a defect. This gap will close properly as you tighten the adjuster knobs. The adjuster knobs are designed to control the entire setup of the gate once the adjuster bolts and extensions are set in place. This is part of the overall design of the tension-mount gate.
