Arrived on time. The table and base were incredibly easy to put together. The table opens to add and remove the leaf with only one hand. Also, the packaging was great, except they stapled underneath the table the bands that keep it all tight together in the shipping box. They used so many staples that it was ridiculous, into the wood! The table is gorgeous! Very well built and high quality. However mine is super dark AND I didn’t realize it is COUNTER HEIGHT. Now that I look at the photos it does look counter height but I wanted a regular height table sooooooo we are going to cut the top of the legs and shorten it because I love it too much to let it go! It has the look of antique dark oak barnwood. They did add antique paintglaze but it’s well done. I would say it’s a neutral brown. Very good finish that looks great. Lots of distressing and saw marks and I LOVE it. I’m glad it came in so I can choose flooring that doesn’t compete. The flooring I chose looked just like it and that would be too much together. This sideboard is well-made, beautiful and solid. I bought it to store china, liquor, wine and assorted glasses, and it’s up to that task. The side compartments each have two beveled shelves suitable for storing wine bottles. I removed the lower shelf in each compartment so I’d have enough vertical space for liquor bottles and tall-stemmed wine and martini glasses. The delivery people were wonderful. They gave me a four-hour window and used an app so I could see their current location and how many deliveries they had before mine. They also called about twenty minutes before they arrived and were polite and respectful of my property. I’m deducting one star because the product I received was not as pictureddescribed on Wayfair’s website. As you can see in my photos, the scroll work insert over the front doors was not included, and the drawers were not felt-lined as advertised. However, Wayfair addressed the issue immediately and gave me a discount. I loved the design and functionality of this table. The distressed marks/groove lines are too balanced/even and so make it look fake. The pieces did not fit into each properly--they were incorrectly cut--obviously no one had assembled this before shipping to make sure it all fit and no one doubled-checked the cuts/measurements to ensure easy assembly. When I applied more force to get pieces to snap into place the table cracked--meaning I wasn't going to be able to return it. the crack isn't too obvious but i had to use colored marker to disguise the white crack line. For about an hour i thought the table I'd just bought would be firewood. I followed directions on the order of which parts fit into each other and it simply wouldn't work since it was about 1/4 to 1/8 off and the one leg would not fit into the groove. I had to take apart and try other combinations, such as putting two sets of legs on table top and the other 2 on the lower shelf unit... I finally had to get a small knife and chisel away at the wood and sand it in order for the last leg to slide into place. so i at least have a level table but i'm not able to push all legs into place to be flush and tight into their spots so this really bothers me to see the gaps and makes it look cheap. i am young and able-bodied and have done many DIY projects myself so this was a shock and disappointment. it took at least 2 hours to assemble...i think the prices and selection are great on this site but would hesitate to buy anything from this site again that needed assembly.. I love the table set! It’s a great blend of elegance and everyday use. Feels heavy and sturdy and you can’t tell there’s a veneer. Chairs have a nice cushion and are comfortable. The open backs of the chairs and ends of the table keep the piece from weighing down a room.
