First, let me say that working with Wayfair is great, even when there's a shipping glitch. So I'll start from the beginning, in April of 2021 we purchased 4 of the Polywood Vineyard Curveback Adirondack chairs in slate gray. After a party in May, my wife and I realized that a bench would be the final touch to our patio. I went online and found the Polywood Vineyard bench, but it was out of stock and wouldn't be available until late November. We chose to wait on it so that our furniture would match. Much to our surprise, we received an email in late July that our bench was on the way. When we received our (large and heavy) package, we were so disappointed that it had been damaged in shipping. I called Wayfair, sent in pictures of the damage and they said they would send another bench. Ten days later we received our new bench, undamaged. My wife is happy now. Happy wife, happy life! This chair fits perfectly in with my other Adirondack chairs surrounding our firepit. We replaced it with one that was wearing down and this one is much better. I really like that it has cup holders on both sides so no worrying about where to sets your drinks down. It’s made well and no splinters when sitting down! The only reason why I didn’t give this a 5 star rating is that when putting it together not all the holes were pre-drilled. Once put together this is a nice chair and it can hold just about anyone.. My husband and preschooler put these together quickly. My husband had a lot of positive things to say about the quality (until he found out how much I paid per chair, and then he said, “What! You paid what! No wonder they’re so good!”). We use the chairs without cushions and they don’t feel too hard. I am 5’2, and my knees ache after a while of sitting in them even though I’m not a person who usually gets joint aches. I could probably benefit from a foot stool. But my husband is 5’9 and finds them comfortable. Despite the cost, we plan to invest in three more of these chairs for our children to use. I expect them to last a long time. We use these at our fire pit. The arm rests are nice and wide for putting a drink, phone, or small plate. Our kids are ages 1-7 and the chairs are wide enough for two kids to sit. Update: We have had the chairs for more than four years now, and they look as good as the day we bought them, despite sitting fully exposed to the elements. So far, so good! I thought they were folding Adirondacks and clearly they are not, but that’s “on me”! They were easy to assemble, but it would be much easier with a helper…I assembled them by myself. Some of the pieces have to be held awkwardly when inserting the screws and bolts. My only issue was one of the “bolts and screws” packages tore open prior to opening the box, and those items fell everywhere. I luckily found each one, which was a big deal since there were no extras. (Suggestion to the manufacturer) Quality seems to be as good as the ones I’d purchased from another manufacturer for a much higher price. I bought 4 to complete the area around our firepit.. Renee.
