I ordered the queen size in espresso. I was able to build this by myself in under 2 hours. I just put the Golden Girls on the tv and started building! The socket wrench was a blessing. I have a drill but I didn’t need it. The instructions were easy to follow. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and placed the nonskid pads on the legs before assembly. Makes a big difference. I ordered this bed to go with my headboard (also from Wayfair) and it is a perfect color match! However, there are no holes in the bed in order to connect them. No big deal to me, I'll just zip tie them if I have to. So far there have been no issues with sturdiness. The height description is accurate. I wish there had been a 14 inch height option. The top of my mattress sits at about 28 inches from the ground so I feel like I'm a little too high up, but I will get used to it. It goes great in a room with sloped or low ceilings. It makes a statement, but quietly and modestly. It checks all the boxes and does away with all the unnecessary bells and whistles some beds seem to have. It's lovely with honey oak floors, but truly would fit a variety of different styles. It’s versatile and has a transitional quality to it, making it easy to adapt to any aesthetic. That's a huge deal for anyone who wants to change things up every once in a while. Since it's neutral, it brings unity and cohesion to just about any style. I ordered it on a Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday. It took my husband about a half hour or so to assemble - and most of that was spent unboxing. Before putting it together, I added adhesive felt pads to the bottom legs for easy sliding and protection of wood floors. It's solid and well-engineered. It doesn't make a peep when getting on and off. I wouldn't be wasting my time writing this review if I didn't think so highly of this product. Frame wood is good, solid pieces...will need drill to tighten lag screws. Some sides of wood pieces are rough...need sanding or I fear sheets/mattress will tear. This arrived quickly and was packaged well. It’s real wood, so it was pretty heavy. It’s best for two people to assemble this but doable for one person. The heaviest part is the set of slats. The headboard, footboard and sides were easy to connect together. The annoying part was laying the slats since they are connected to each other and were heavy to maneuver. Then after laying them all out, the last wood slat wouldn’t lay flat since there’s a wood block that’s in the way. So I had to adjust the slats again but it would leave too much of a gap at one end. So I ended up just leaving the last wood slat as is. Thus, knocked out a star for that. Other than that, the quality looks great and this bed frame is pretty solid and sturdy!. Cristina.
