The wood grain has much more texture, and the finish is a bit darker than the item listing pictures indicate. I’m mixing woods in the room so the color is palatable. Delivery service was great. I searched around a while for a base with more visual interest and for the price this one checked the boxes. The surface finish has a less wood-like hand to it. Mango can have a different feel to it. It's crafted from kiln-dried solid and engineered wood with a weathered finish that lends a rustic vibe. We love the sturdy pedestal base. Seating up to four, it's complete when paired with the chairs of your choice and some pretty table linens.

Some key pieces in the base have slowly come apart after assembling. Even after using a set torque setting, it came apart and makes a tremendous amount of noise. I’m super happy with this. I almost didn’t buy it and looked for a long time to buy something else because of the one review that talks about crumbs getting in the crevices and having to vacuum it. I really hate crumbs and all of that but so far, it’s not been a big issue for me whatsoever. I have vacuumed it a couple times but they come right out. The crevice is not so small that they really get stuck in there. It’s beautiful and well worth the prize. I was looking at things that were three times the amount for this level of quality.. Lora.
