I love it! The Sonnenbaum picture took around 6 weeks to receive from the date of order. The paint quality and color are vibrant. It appears to be a print with clear strokes over it to give a slightly textured appearance. I'm now looking for a companion picture for my living room; vertical, around 50-60" x 80-90" if anyone can make a suggestion! Sara decided at an early age that she wanted to travel the world and create art through her experiences. She traveled to many places including parts of Asia, Europe, and the United States. All the art she is creating is based on the inspirations she gained through her many travels. Currently, she resides in Los Angeles, CA creating art and gaining inspiration through the new people she meets every day.

Ann was born in Enid, Oklahoma, and educated at the University of Oklahoma, with a degree in Interior Design. She moved to San Diego in 1984, where she lives today with her husband and three children. While her artistic impression was constant throughout her life, her recent foray into the art world was developed over the past 15 years of working as a volunteer art teacher for school children at the elementary level. During this time she also worked as the prop, costume, and backdrop designer for the elementary school’s performances and directed the art and talent shows for many years. Now coming full circle, Ann is once again involved in instructing new and aspiring artists on her painting methods. In her commitment to being a green artist, Ann is able to create unique paintings by using recycled materials, finding items of interest in her environment, and using every drop of paint to add dimension to her paintings.

Alexys Henry grew up in both Phoenix and New York, influenced by dramatic shifts in both cultural and physical environments. As a child, the long clear expanses of snow-covered fields broken by patches of overgrown trees and half-frozen streams captivated her and continue to influence her imagery. Henry moved to Berkeley, California in 2002. “There I found myself drawn to everyday details such as cracks in walls and layers of peeling paint and poster paper. Nature flourishes alongside urban decay. For me, this is the backdrop of a duplicitous sense of danger as well as hope and community.” From there, Henry’s brief time in Seattle deeply influenced her seascapes. Now back in Phoenix with her daughter, Henry aspires to be a vehicle for freedom and creativity in her work. “I love to experiment with new materials and combinations and my style carries contemporary as well as organic and urban sensibilities.”

Artist Jack Richtman was born in 1968 in Custer County, SD, situated in the heart of the Black Hills. A pioneering spirit, he is the fourth generation of the original homestead, settled by “Great Grampa Jack” in the mid1800’s. Tied to the land by history and curiosity, he creates paintings that abstract the natural topography of the landscape around him; the hills and valleys, the lakes nestled between, and the winding roads leading to these places of beauty. As a National Park, the Black Hills forest is an isolated oasis in a world of encroaching development. The wide expanses of color in his work, speak to this isolation. “South Dakota is a special place for me. There is a strong sense of history tied to the land in my family. The state is filled with an array of differing landscapes; reducing the shape of this land in its purest form is the focus of my work.”
