Beautiful! I got the pale oak and it's perfect (it isn't yellow - more of a white/blonde oak with a barely there gray undertone). The materials feel high quality. I planned to use this as more of an insert (wrapping a large headboard/frame around it) because I was afraid it would look cheap but it's such a nice wood tone that I might just attach the headboard to it. The corner joints slot together smoothly without forced hammering. Really easy to put the joints together. Assembly takes me about 20 minutes by simply following the instructions and interlocking the components in sequence. The precision wood-on-wood joinery eliminates creaking entirely. It was a bit time consuming to make this bed, at some parts the instructions were a little unclear. Regardless we got it together (hardware set was missing 1 washer), and it fit our son's mattress well. I like the built in shelving and holes for charging. Unfortunately the led light strip provided didn't work, but its ok since our son didnt need it. I like putting his favorite books and toys on the shelves, and I can plug in one of his night lights into the port which makes up for the light bar not working.
