Very nice chandelier. My Electrician said it was easy to hang. Putting the crystals on is time-consuming, however, placing them is very simple. Beautiful Chandelier—But I Would Definitely Change the Gold Finish I’m giving this chandelier five stars because the end result is absolutely stunning, but there is one major caveat. We wanted a large, modern, all-crystal chandelier for our bathroom and had difficulty finding anything this size without spending several thousand dollars. The crystals on this light are gorgeous, and it makes a beautiful statement. We initially hired an electrician and a helper to install it on our 15-foot barrel ceiling. Despite the height and the large number of crystals, they had no trouble assembling or hanging it, and the entire installation took about 2½ hours. The problem was the gold finish. Once it was hanging, my husband and I both thought the gold looked very cheap and really took away from an otherwise beautiful chandelier. Unfortunately, our electrician had already thrown away the box, so returning it wasn’t an option. We ended up removing every crystal, taking the chandelier back down, and painting the fixture with a champagne-bronze metallic paint. We then rehung it and replaced all the crystals ourselves. What a difference! The new finish completely elevated the chandelier. It now looks elegant, expensive, and comparable to fixtures in our home that cost several thousand dollars. We absolutely love it. My recommendation: If you love the design but want a more high-end look, paint the gold finish before installing it—and definitely before hanging all those crystals! This chandelier is beautiful and truly makes my space look better. But if you are trying to be a better person and quit cussing, or unless you have a mechanical engineering degree or are an electrician with extra time on your hands, do not buy this chandelier. The FULL assembly needed was over the top difficult. Fortunately, my husband has built classic cars and worked with electrical wiring, so we were able to assemble it in a matter of 4 to 5 hours together. The instructions were not complete for all of the stages of assembly. But in the end, we are enjoying it. You should also know that the base of the bulbs is a European size, and no home improvement stores or hardware stores here carry replacement bulbs. This light is absolutely stunning. It looks extremely high quality. This is the most money I have spent on lighting to date and its totally worth it. We purchased the 24 light for our entry. It is hung with the 20 chain. For perspective, we replaced a 20 year old pile rubbed bronze fixture that was 18 in diameter.
