The duvet without the insert looks just fine for me and I'm hoping it's not too heavy but since I live in the north I think it'll be just right. I also feel that since my bed is a queen I would have liked this duvet to be a little bit larger for more of an overhang, I should have ordered a king size just for the extra overhang.. Bought two brown cases. Soft, really well made. Fits a full fluffy king pillow perfectly. The unquilted linen backside with ties is not flimsy or loose, very nice thicker linen.
