Easy to install, remove, and store, it’s a long-lasting solution for clean, safe pool water and family security.

Designed specifically for a ground swimming pool. The lining is made of industrial-grade thickened black geotextile (a tough blend of polyester, acrylic and cotton), with a thickness 1.5 times that of ordinary products. Closing an above ground pool for winter should protect the investment, not create a second job. The Blue Wave Arctic Armor 15-ft round rugged mesh pool cover keeps debris out and lets water drain through, easing spring removal and reducing the need to pump the cover during the fall. Built from woven polyethylene, this cover handles a full season of snow, ice, and freezing temperatures. The fine mesh blocks leaves, sticks, and debris while allowing rain and snowmelt to slowly drain through with no standing water or ice buildup, and the mesh construction stays lightweight for easier handling. Installation is straightforward. Spread the cover. It is sized for 15-ft round above-ground pools with an extra 4-ft overlap that extends down the pool wall. Thread the included rust-resistant vinyl-coated cable through heavy-duty metal grommets spaced every 2 ft, and cinch tight with the metal locking winch. Every piece of hardware needed comes in the box. Available in round sizes from 12 ft to 30 ft. Install in late fall before the first freeze and remove in early spring to a cleaner pool with less debris. Folds compactly for off season storage. Backed by Blue Wave’s 8-year limited warranty (full coverage in year one and prorated coverage through year eight), U.S.-based customer support, and over 35 years of pool industry experience. This winter pool cover is designed to protect the pool from the elements while it is not in use. Not intended as a safety cover.

I ordered this winter cover for next winter, so we have it when closing the pool this fall. It looks nice, but the warranty card included is only paper and looks like it went through a storm. You're to fill it out, place a stamp on the reverse side, and mail it, but it's paper. It won't go through the mailing machine at the post office. Since there is no online warranty registration information listed, I will mail it in an envelope and hope this is sufficient.. Roxanne. Muskego, WI. Fri May 29 2026

Closing a pool for winter should not mean months of cleanup or a green pool in spring. The Blue Wave Arctic Armor Oval Above Ground Pool Winter Cover is a heavy-duty solid pool tarp built to handle everything the off-season brings, so you can close up in fall and return to a cleaner pool when spring arrives. It’s made with a 14x14 laminated scrim polyethylene, a dense, tear-resistant material that forms a solid barrier against leaves, sticks, rain, and snow. The reinforced, heat-sealed seams form a watertight bond across the cover to block moisture and debris and help prevent rips. Because the panel is solid rather than mesh, it keeps water from passing through and limits evaporation over winter. The black underside blocks sunlight throughout the off-season to help limit dirt buildup in the pool, which reduces the maintenance work needed at opening time. Securing the cover is straightforward. The rust-resistant metal grommets spaced every 2 feet work with the included vinyl-coated steel cable and ratcheting winch to lock the cover down evenly, withstanding strong winds, rain, and snow. This winter cover is sized for oval above-ground pools with an extra 4-ft overlap for a snug, wind-resistant fit; a helper speeds installation on this size pool. This is a winter debris cover, not a safety cover. Do not walk on it or allow it to support weight. After a heavy snow, clear the buildup from the pool edge with a soft-bristle broom. To keep the pool cleaner, use a cover pump to remove standing water that collects on top of the cover after storms. Backed by Blue Wave’s 15-year limited warranty (full coverage in year 1 and prorated coverage in years 2 through 15), U.S.-based customer support and over 35 years of pool industry experience. This winter pool cover is sized for oval pools only. Complete with securing hardware, including the winch and cable, so everything needed for installation is in the box.
