I will admit that I have never had an air-purifier before, so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it did not disappoint. I used this in a bedroom and by the end of the week I could tell a difference. It is a fairly large bedroom, but it works perfectly. My wife who was a doubter can tell when I have turned it off and tells me to turn it back on. The only way I know to explain it is the air feels crisper, clean. We do have a large dog and two people in the house. It isn't too loud, the three levels are a little quieter than a fan on low. The night level is very quiet. Also, it's very easy to keep clean. Impressed with the Bissell air280 unit that needs only one filter compared to the other unit (no longer available) that had two filters.
