It was easy to add this fan to a location where a porch light was no longer needed. I purchased a 3 way switch and connected inside so that we can change the speed with a wall switch. It is very comparable in sound and pressure to the same desk top fan that I use in my bedroom. This little fan works very well. Its quiet, and it runs about 7-10 hours when fully charged. The time it runs in a charge depends on the speed and light use. It works great though and is super handy and lightweight. The height is adjustable by a knob on the back. There’s 5 speeds but at the first 2 you barely even feel any air off of it. Minimum speed for actual air cooling in my opinion is 3 with 5 being the highest. The built in light is extremely bright and also integrated well. My biggest issue is the amount of time it takes to charge the fan. Plugged into the wall it takes close to 11 hours before fully charged and you get a green light. I appreciate the solar and usb input but was highly disappointed that a solar panel wasn’t included. The pictures will show that the panel isn’t included. The actual written description of this fan says that the panel IS included. It definitely needs to be changed because I don’t like purchasing something only to find out it’s not what was expected. Overall it’s a nice fan for being outside and to take camping, or to the lake, power outages, or basically anywhere you don’t have access to electricity. A magnificent rendition of the original Gyro design, the traditional finish transcends the turns of time

Ok, this is just the “coolest” fan…..ever! Looks and operates exactly as it is described. Delivery box and contents arrived in perfect condition. It is pretty heavy! I’ve put up my share of ceiling fans, but opted for a professional installer this time. Glad I did, as he built some much needed support beams in the ceiling, to ensure it was stable. Plan on buying a large medallion to affix to the ceiling. Looks better, IMO… The electrician even needed my assistance to complete the install, so be sure to have some help. Totally worth it!
