Only labeling this bed 4 stars due to the slats not being manufactured closer together. The slats should be 3 inches apart for the best support according to online resources but are 3.5 inches apart. They did not specify otherwise but that’s ok we just got some plywood to help. However outside of that it’s 5 stars all around, looks just like the photo, beautiful color, feels well built. The package is a tall box. If it needs to be transported to upper level or lower level must have help to do so. I just opened the package and took each piece to upper level. The packaging was great. Instructions were clear. Lots of extra pieces of nuts were given. Can’t go wrong anywhere with assembly. Each piece was very well made. There’s hardly any assembly. It probably takes about 30 minutes to 40 minutes maximum. The wood pieces are solid wood. Has very smooth finish. The texture of the finished surface is soft and gives expensive feel. Once assembled one can tell its sturdy construction. We’ve been using it for a month now and no creaking or any noise. Perfect for apartment size bedroom or guest bedroom. Very happy with purchase. This is a really nice bed! Beautiful design, excellent engineering, very good wood species, and near perfect manufacturing tolerances with everything fitting exactly as it should. This bed is very solid when assembled; no squeaks or wobbles. I took my time with the bed assembly, double-checked carefully with the provided step-by-step pictures, and had a helper to assist with the larger pieces. Assembly took approximately 90 minutes. You want to pay particular attention to the "this side up" arrows on some of the bed pieces to avoid problems. This bed is a very good value, in my opinion, and one that you won't be disappointed purchasing. Delivery to our location was in less than 2 days and arrived in perfect condition. Exceeded my expectations for the price. King size was a fairly easy assembly, 2 persons under an hr. Delivery was quick regardless of the 2 separate boxes arriving within days of each other. Making this bed is easy, our mattress is a Saatva Firm at 14”. Mattress drops nicely and fills the platform leaving a small gap to tuck sheets. Mattresses nowadays are very heavy but this bed allows picking up the corners without throwing out your back. Bed stays in place with no squeaking or cracking sounds. Ours arrived flawlessy. It's a beautiful bed but I had to return it since it's a King sized bedframe and I have a Queen. Forgot to double check the size during my hectic move. I should've realized it when the bedframe was huge. The assembly was not super easy for one person, but doable (I'm a 5'3" woman). My floors aren't properly leveled so I had trouble aligning a few of the holes on the headboard. I had to really push and re-adjust, but I got it all done in about 2 hours. The wood legs are a bit weak and do hear creaking. I decided to opt out of screwing every single slat to the bedframe since that would take way too long and I was tired! It did not feel super secure but I also put a queen mattress on it so.. Anyways, its good for the price and you get what you pay for - I really liked the look and probably would've kept it if iit wass the right size!
