In either case, you have to wait for the weather to cooperate (and the ground to be dry) and for the contractor’s (or your) schedule to open up. In most cases, this could delay the set-up of your hot tub by weeks. It will cost you a pretty penny, too, nearly $1500+ dollars. Our spa pad (also known as the Handi-spa pad) is a faster, cheaper alternative to concrete pads and wooden decks. These 6 modular pads, which connect together to make an 8’ x 8’ area, are more than sufficient to accommodate most hot tubs. Additional pads can be purchased if you have a larger spa. It goes together in minutes: Simply place the pads where you want them, lock them together with the built-in connectors, and you’re ready to go. No mess, no waiting, no hassles, no problem. Fold the spa cover over the arm and swing it out of the way letting the cover lifter do the work. This product fits most rectangular spas up to 96" wide; the spa must have 18" of clearance from surrounding objects and comes complete with all necessary parts and instructions including mounting parts and hardware. This mounts in the back of the spa.

This lift is similar to ones I have had in the past. Installation is straightforward. I prefer this design for it carries the load at a lower point and keeps the cover further away from the spa. I had some buyers remorse after I purchased this and read some additional reviews about how it had trouble heating up. I didn't realize it didn't use a standard electric spa heater. When I saw "Friction Heating" I thought that was in addition to normal electric heating and was a motor heat recovery unit and an energy saving feature. This was very new to me as the last time I bought a spa was 30 years ago. After installing and using it for going on 4 months, I must say I am impressed with the function and performance so far. It does take around 24 hours to get to from 75 to 100 degrees but once it got there it maintains the set temperature very well. Some of the reviews mentioned that it had a hard time heating in cold weather and maybe that is true for them but here in Florida I haven't had any problems even during some of the 30 degree cold fronts we had. The spa shell is very solid and seems durable. It has decent number of jets and water movement and we are really enjoying this spa. Now for my observations on what could be better. As some of the other reviews have mentioned the outer shell is very thin vinyl panels. Not a problem so far but they are pretty flimsy and hurricane force winds might cause them to buckle. The pump and control access panel is this same vinyl material and it is held in place by screws so to access anything you have to unscrew it rather than via a hinged door access like most spas. The single speed pump works fine but it would be nice to be able to add a little more massage power to the jets. A two speed pump would be preferable. Lastly, the instruction manual should be specific to a single spa model and not cover multiple models where some of the functions and features aren't pertinent to the one you are working with. Would I recommend this spa? For the solid inner shell, user friendly controls, and the included accessories, in this price range, all delivered free to your home in less than a week? My wife and I did a ton of research before purchasing a new hot tub. As a business owner of our own Pool and Spa store, we have access to purchase through distribution. We choose this one off Wayfair for its size, equipment options, and features. The hot tub is very well built with an abs pan encasing the bottom.
