We love this cedar chest. It is very attractive and matched our bedroom furniture perfectly. In the beginning steps, assembly was easy. It was tricky attaching it to the bottom and the top. The dresser was on back order but delivered almost a month early from estimated delivery date, which was good. The unit when put together was nice and as advertised, but did have a few scratches on the top and cracked side panel for one of the drawers. As a result dinging the rating 1 star. Currently working with customer resolution to resolve the 2 damaged parts. I also used the service to assemble the unit and satisfied. Highly recommend on any item with a lot of parts to assmeble.. I recieved my cedar chest and took one look at the box and was afraid to open. But all i saw was a dent on the top of the front. With that i went ahead and put together. No big problems. Just follow directions. It had to have been wrapped for shipment very well to have just sustained only that damage. The whole thing is not made by using 100% solid cedar or price would be much higher. But i wanted to store blankets i crochet and wollen sweaters and things of that. Cedar helps to keep bugs that love wool away. I had a beautiful light blue sweather that wasnt stored in cedar and i regretted because moth got to it and ate hole right in front. So after putting together just rubbed a little original cedarcide inside. I went on and notified wayfair about the picture of torn up box and picture of dent. Was contacted right then. Talk about fast. He asked for email and order number so he could see what the problem was. I didnt want new one just a few parts that were broken in bag and 1 missig. Great person to talk to. Its hard to find stores that stand behind their products and feedback like that. Thank you to Wayfair and the people who respect not only good feedback but about a probleem you encoutered.. Debra. North Carolina. Fri Jun 05 2026
