I have opened a large can of diced tomatos and a can of black olives with it so far, and it is just like all the other openers out there-the lid falls off into the food..but really, its not that much of a big deal..I mean this opener cuts like a dream, and I do like the larger easy grip handle/cutter. I would recommend this item for anyobe looking for an easy to use opener.
