This traditional weather station is both a work of art and an instrument at home in any fine study, library, office, or upscale restaurant. The rich, wood framed classic weather station measures barometric pressure (liquid). The antique weather station displays an air of quality and accuracy one would expect with a fine, handcrafted weather instrument from Ambient Weather. The concept that 'decreasing atmospheric pressure predicts stormy weather' was postulated by Lucien Video and it's the basis for a weather prediction device called a storm glass or liquid barometer. It consists of a glass container with a sealed body, half-filled with water. A narrow spout connects to the body below the water level and rises above the water level, where it is open to the atmosphere. When the air pressure is lower than it was at the time the body was sealed, the water level in the spout will rise above the water level in the body and when the air pressure is higher, the water level in the spout will drop below the water level in the body. Also includes a comfort meter, which measures temperature and humidity, and a comfort zone indicator.

Directly share your data with underground and weather clouds. Measures temperature, rainfall data, humidity, and more. Longer battery life with a built-in solar panel. Compatible with online weather data servers.

This weather station is on its 3rd or 4th season now. Very reliable and accurate. We have it in our kitchen and naturally check it several times a day. Batteries last at least 1yr on the remote weather vane that measure rain fall, temp, sun and wind direction & speed. We've been replacing once a year but have never had batteries go dead. We purchased a "J-pole" for mounting which works great for elevating above our roof.. Jud. Saint Charles, IL. Mon Jul 27 2026

I couldnt set it up. My 17-year-old did it for me. That being said, I like the big monitor on my kitchen wall and I think it will last longer than the two previous ones that had small monitors that died after 2 years and one cost the same as this one. I am happy with the purchase.. Janet. North East, MD. Sat Jan 13 2024
