Well, first of all it comes in a pretty small box! I couldnt believe that the table was all included in this heavy small box. My husband and I both worked steady on construction of the table for 3 hours. I thought the instructions were concise- and extra pieces were included. The table is solid, and sturdy. Stable and easy install countertop table. During assembly there were some noticeable blemishes. I was able to touchup the blemish on the bottom of the inside laminate finish with a furniture dark brown maker. There were blemishes on the faux marble top and on one side. It’s noticeable when the table top has bright light reflecting from it that shows the blemishes. I couldn’t fix those markings. The shipping box was a thinner cardboard than I expected for shipping. The table inside of the box was protected by styrofoam on all sides. The table top should have been protected in plastic wrap to prevent the thin sheet of styrofoam covering it from potential blemishes. Love this desk! One of the gears does not line up super square, and there was plenty of casting sand attached to the legs. One small ding in the front of the desk top, but not a big deal to me. Others have commented that the desk does not move up & down readily. It makes me wonder if they put any grease on the worm gear. Be generous with the grease. Desk works great! I did not tighten the wood handle super tight, so it rotates in my hand when I lower the desk. I also skip it when raising the desk top. Instead I use the wheel, like on a large valve or a ships hatch. Not as convenient as mashing a button, but it goes with the style. Plenty of room for double 24” montiors. The first desk took us about 5 hours, and even knowing exactly what we were doing, the second still took about 4 hours. I would absolutely recommend having two people, plenty of space, and a whole lot of patience. That being said, the instruction manual was surprisingly clear and helpful. There are simply a LOT of pieces and steps involved. Once assembled, though Worth it. They look like much more expensive pieces of furniture and completely transformed our homeschool room. I especially love all of the drawers, cabinets, shelving, and built-in desktop outlets. If you’re willing to survive the assembly process, I highly recommend them. This is a super cute desk, even nicer than I expected. The wood grain finish makes the black look so special and unique. It seems really sturdy, except for the sliding doors, they might not hold up to heavy use. It’s ok, though because I will still be able to use the shelves. It wasn’t the easiest to assemble, I wish I could take away a half star for the unclear instructions.
